Urge people to call their representative in the House and their Senator to support making sure that every American has a voting member in the House and Two Senators.

The 712,000 residents of Washington, DC are asking citizens across the country to take a moment to learn more about the lack of full voting representation in Congress they experience. Momentum is needed to secure full and equal rights that all Americans enjoy. So, we need to bring national attention to this injustice.

Let’s end this injustice today! Call on Congress to stand up for the 712,000 Americans living in the District of Columbia. Urge your Representatives and Senators to support statehood for DC.

Your voice counts!

The residents of Washington, DC are treated as second-class citizens, even though residents pay more in federal income taxes per capita AND collectively pay more than $3B in federal taxes each year. DC pays more taxes than 12 current states!

More than 200,000 brave men and women from Washington, DC have served in the United States Armed Forces defending, fighting and 2,000 have died for our beloved country. Yet, these brave men and women had no voting representation in Congress and no true democracy at home in the country they fought and died for.

This is a denial of democracy to the residents of Washington, DC, and all citizens of the United States of America. This injustice must end. Call Congress now to voice your support for adding DC as the 51st state of the United States of America.

Urge people to call their representative in the House and their Senator to support making sure that every American has a voting member in the House and Two Senators.

This effort is sponsored by the New Columbia Statehood Commission to educate all Americans on an injustice that has existed too long.
